Mellow Mind Therapy
My name is Gayle and I have been supporting people with mental health issues for over 5 years. I feel extremely passionate about helping people live fulfilling lives with good mental health. In my mid thirties I personally experienced severe mental health issues, which became debilitating. For me, getting excellent professional support made an enormous difference to my life, so much so it inspired me in my early 40’s to leave my job in Communications & Marketing with a well known NGO and embark on a long but wonderful journey of self discovery & re education in psychology, counselling and psychotherapy.
I am also a life long horse-lover, having grown up around horses as a child and spent the past 40 years with horses in my life. They are incredible animals and you can find out more about how horses can help humans with their mental health, on my Equine Therapy page.

"I had no idea what to expect from counselling, but I'm so glad that I took the plunge. Gayle was so helpful. I had been 'stuck' for years and the future looks so much brighter now. I would highly recommend counselling to anyone."
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
Since completing my post graduate Advanced Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling in 2020, I have been working as a BACP registered counsellor both with Don’t Lose Hope in Bourne & in private practice both online & in person. I am also an experienced mental health crisis counsellor with SHOUT, an online text service aimed at young people. In 2024, I added Equine therapy skills to my services, completing my foundation training with Operation Centaur, in London. I plan to expand and develop my equine assisted therapy skills and offering in 2025 and beyond.
Located near Grantham, South Lincolnshire, I describe myself as an integrative therapist, who is able to draw from a range of skills & support clients according to their personal needs. This means I can provide a personal, confidential & individualised therapeutic partnership, supporting you fully on your journey of growth & helping you to develop self-awareness & coping skills, which will enable you to thrive.
I am the only qualified counsellor offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in South Lincolnshire. This is a unique approach to therapy, working alongside my own horses.
